A Mother’s Day Celebration

This past Christmas my husband took the very obvious hint (think placed in his Amazon cart) that Fraiche Food Full Hearts was the number one item on my wish list.

While the kiddos were playing with all their new toys, I curled up by the tree coffee in hand and began going through all the beautiful images and yummy recipes. It was in that moment I decided this year I was hosting a Mother’s Day brunch for all the special moms in our families.  There are beautiful party inspiration pages laid out in the book making this so easy.

I have played with the selections a little bit, but will share with you the menu I designed for this Mother’s Day.

Jillian and Tori have a yummy recipe for Angel Cakes in this book, I have given it a go a few times making some modifications to their vegan version. Despite my best efforts I have not gotten the family fully on board, I am going to try again not using the dairy substitutes and hopefully win them over. However for Mother’s Day I will probably whip up the crowd pleasing pancakes from the Magnolia Table cookbook.

If you have the Fraiche Foods cookbook, you will notice I also switched out Raisin Biscuits. This is simply for ease – I will be using a box mix for cinnamon swirl loaf and place it into muffin tins for mini loaf servings.  I like easy hacks, and the rest of the menu will take up a decent amount of time.

I would love to hear how you plan to celebrate Mother’s Day, or if you have any suggestions from running a smooth brunch celebration for a crowd! Now that we are settled in our new home, hosting parties is on the top of my to do list.
