Fall Must Haves

Fall is here. Like really here. It’s time to bust out all the cozy sweaters and ugg boots and get cozy by the fire. 

I thought I would share my top must-haves for Fall decor in keeping my home looking feeling cozy and relatively damage free from the little people.

1. Mini Pumpkins – I couldn’t believe the selection Dollarama had for fall decor! I often scroll through beautiful accounts like @HomeonAmeliaLane and stare in awe at all the pretty things she score from the US Dollar Tree, Target Dollar Spot, Joannes .. the list really goes on. It feels often like we get the shaft here in Canada. But Dollarama did not disappoint this year. 
2. Candles – not only is it amazing to fill up a space with delicious smells, but also a candle adds such warmth to a space. Really, until this year I didn’t find myself lighting candles often, there just wasn’t a safe place for them in our old home. I ordered some gorgeous pieces from @SweetWickCandle a few months ago and am still obsessing over their quality
3. Throws (Pillows and Blankets) – I bought an oversized blanket scarf from a local shop and it is just perfect for getting cozy on our porch. It also is a perfect piece to cuddle up with on the couch. If you aren’t as lucky as me to have a smaller shop around you to find these things, I did see that Giant Tiger also had a good selection and they were very reasonably priced. Pillows are also the perfect way to freshen a space. I buy inserts from Ikea and then either look through Amazon for pillow covers or great my own. (If you have been with me awhile, you know I own(ed) a childrens handmade shop, so there is still a lot of supplies for creating and personalizing things just how I want)
4. Mini Signs – I find these are a must for any season and I have 2 small shops that I love supporting. These are a great way to switch up any space, you can keep your key decor pieces and switch out signs to really change up the look with minimal effort.
